  • An annual management charge for personal accounts would not be fair to consumers, says research conducted by PADA to support its consultation on charging structures.
  • The Pension Protection Fund’s chief executive Partha Dasgupta has unveiled a survey on pension scheme investment strategies at the NAPF conference, showing “there has not been the headlong march into hedging as people first thought.”
  • The Government defeated a Conservative amendment calling for a referendum on the Lisbon treaty last night.
  • Following the resignation of three Liberal Democrat shadow cabinet members after the vote, Chris Huhne MP has added Justice to his Home Affairs brief, DEFRA spokesman Steve Webb MP will assume Tim Farron’s countryside responsibilities, and Michael Moore MP will take on Scotland and Northern Ireland responsibilities.
